For December . . .

This Sunday I will be taking part in the last Little Northern Contemporary Craft Fair of the year. Come along to Altrincham Grammar School for Boys from 10am to 5pm. I will have jewellery, collages, cards, and my bunting for lovely stocking fillers.

Dazzle has begun; this year I am exhibiting at both venues, Manchester Art Gallery which continues until 12th January 2014 and @OXO London, continuing until 5 January 2014.

My Paper Shop is now stocked up with bunting and collages. I am giving free post from now until the end of December when you enter Mailing List at the checkout. and you can sign up to my mailing list by visiting my website and signing up!

 

Studio 6 is open 7 days a week throughout December including Sundays from 11am to 5pm and late on Thursdays until 8pm; all at Manchester Craft & Design Centre in the Northern Quarter.

Reflections on words . . .

Forming words was launched yesterday at Manchester Craft & Design Centre / my studio home.

The work exhibited was beautiful and thought provoking and I’m looking forward to seeing it all again, in more depth next time, not just as very beautiful objects! It was an incredibly hot day, so I don’t blame me for just enjoying it, the busy lively craft centre and the cocktails!

One of my all time favourite ceramists is in the exhibition, Hanne Mannheimer, one of my many many favourite jewellers Jessica Turrell, and I’m very happy to now have a new favourite in Buddug Wyn Humphreys, just stunning. Here are a few snaps from yesterday, you will need to imagine this alongside various musicians we had accompanying the opening!

Forming Words is back . . .

Forming Words is touring from Flow gallery in London to Manchester Craft & Design Centre . . .  It opens this Saturday and the craft centre have lots of word based treats (including live bands and cocktails I believe!) lined up for the launch. More of my jewellery, and collages are available from Studio 6 where I work, though not this Saturday, I will be enjoying the launch and hope you can come along!

Jewellery + collages at Studio 6

I’ve had a wonderful first full week at Studio 6 at the Manchester Craft & Design Centre, lots of very lovely people to meet, and have lunch with at the Oak cafe which is well worth the visit alone, and I’ve now set up a collection of jewellery and collages to come and have a look at.  Marie Canning was also in this week to set up an exhibition of her lovely work which will run for a couple of months. So come and visit!

New studio to visit . . .

I am very excited to tell you I have now moved to a new workspace at Studio 6 at Manchester Craft and Design Centre. Situated in the Northern Quarter just a few minutes from Piccadilly Gardens in the city centre.

My workspace is within the established studio of Tracey Birchwood and I will also be sharing with the lovely Charlotte Verity. We are open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm and I will be in most days.

I’ve been busy this week moving in and setting up my space ready to make some new work. I will soon be displaying a collection of jewellery and collages. And I am sure I will be blogging all about it along the way!
