A Golden Age of Lettering starts today at the Bluecoat Display Centre in Liverpool. It’s a group show of mixed disciplines including jewellery, ceramics and architecture by designer-makers who are influenced by typography and calligraphy. My collection focuses on the contrast of handwriting with printed text taken from found ephemera, including old French bills. The group is highlighed with red stamps, garnet beads and gold leaf. It runs until 7 August.
